How to make a wrapped loop

Using flat or chain-nose pliers bend the head pin or wire at a right angle about 3cm (1 1/4in) from the end.

Use round-nose pliers to grasp the wire at the bend, then using your fingers, bring the short end of the wire up and over the top.

Reposition the pliers so the bottom jaw is in the curve, then bring the short end of the wire under the pliers to form a right angle to the stem.

Repostion the pliers across the loop and hold it firmly, then wrap the short wire around the stem a few times.

Trim the excess wire using wire cutters, then press the cut end close to the wraps with chain-nose pliers to neaten it.
